Painting Business - How To Relax and Have Fun With It

So you have a passion to paint? I know how you feel, so do I. Many a time on a Sunday morning I have looked forward to being able to get started on a new painting project I had going starting Monday. I never felt that way about a regular job. As the old saying goes, when you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life!

I remember in the earlier days of my painting business when I didn't charge as much as I could. I would be thinking to myself that if I could only make the good money, the money that I would really like to make, I could slow down and enjoy my work. The only trouble was, being a newbie painter I really didn't know what I was doing business-wise when it came to [tag]estimating a paint job[/tag]. I had no method in place for how to properly price my work.

It took a while for me to develop an estimating system that worked perfectly every time. Now days, my system is so good and so sure that if someone turns down my bid I walk away and go do the next estimate. I can do this because I know I'm right and my bid is fair and they just cannot afford me. I played the fool and gave away my work and under-bid for lack of confidence in the earlier days,

Now the tables are turned and customers respect me because they know that I know what I'm doing. It's just that simple. I never really lost out though completely in any of my painting jobs. As Proverbs says in the Bible, "There is profit in all labor".

I found that to be so true because some of the people that I previously worked for and lost money on doing their job, that same customer later turned me on to new customers who I worked for and continued to work for from time to time and did make good money. So it's true. There is profit in all labor. So don't be afraid of failure, it is only a learning process.

But I love walking into someone's home or place of business now days and being able to do a super-clean, super-fast, sure-fire [tag]painting estimate[/tag] and walking away knowing that I am definitely going to make good money and not lose money. And you will have this same confidence as long as you get some specialized knowledge as in any other business venture.

Experience is a cruel taskmaster. You can save yourself from the long and winding learning curve by getting all the facts needed to successfully run your own painting business today. You can be in profit today. The Paint Like A Pro Estimating and Advertising CD was written and developed over a 4-year period by yours truly and works like a charm.

I can estimate my paint jobs and advertise effectively today even if it is during the Holidays and make great money and it sure makes painting enjoyable and not a burden as in the early days.
