Painting Business - How To Paint Doors The Fastest Way
Many painters that do new construction like to take the doors down and paint them in an empty room. Some like to leave them up and switch the hinges for temporary old ones while they spray. But that's new construction.
I do mostly re-paints where I have always brushed my doors because you cannot spray in someones home of course. If I had a pole barn or a shop at home and I had a lot of doors to do on a particular job, you can bet I would clear out my van and go and pick those babies up and bring them to my shop.
I would prep and spray them with an enamel under-coater primer first and then top coat them using a top-of-the-line satin enamel. Once dry overnight, I would carefully wrap each one in my van with drop cloths and cardboard and bring them back to the home I'm painting in and re-hang them. Spraying latex enamels, the right ones anyways, is supposed to look pretty good if done right. This would save time also making you more profit per hour. This is how to paint doors the fastest.
